Quick and Easy Ginger Scallion Garlic Rice Recipe

The flavors of this recipe are inspired by traditional chinese ginger scallion oil recipes. For our recipe, we add an extra serving of greens through Daily Elements. We then add this aromatic condiment to freshly cooked jasmine rice. The ginger and scallion provide color and freshness while garlic adds a savory flavor.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups freshly cooked white jasmine rice
  • 1/3 cup avocado oil
  • 4 scallions, finely minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, finely grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 scoop Daily Elements microgreen powder

Ginger Scallion Garlic Rice

Method

  1. Prepare aromatics. Mince scallions and garlic. Grate or mince ginger and place all in a heatproof bowl with salt.

  2. Heat the oil. Warm avocado oil over low–medium heat for 2–3 min, making sure it doesn’t smoke.

  3. Pour and rest sauce. Carefully pour hot oil over aromatics. Stir, then let sit 15 min to mellow. Stir in Daily Elements.

  4. Finish the rice. Spread rice in a serving bowl. Drizzle 1-2 tbsp of sauce, and serve.
