Apple Pie Smoothie
Method
-
Blend the base. Add the apple, banana, Daily Elements, yogurt, milk, oats, almond butter, spice, and dates (if using) to a blender.

-
Blend until smooth. The mixture should be creamy and thick, with the oats fully integrated.
-
Taste and adjust. For more sweetness, add an extra date or a drizzle of maple syrup. If too thick, splash in more milk or water.
-
Serve. Pour into a glass. Optional: decorate the inside of the glass with swirls of date caramel and yogurt before pouring in the smoothie for a dessert-like presentation.

-
Optional: Make date caramel. In a food processor, combine 10 Dates , 4-5 tbsp coconut cream, 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey, ½ tsp vanilla, ⅛ tsp. salt.
Notes & Variations
-
Swap liquids: Try non-dairy milks or water for a less rich version.
-
Healthy fat: Use full fat Greek Yogurt to add a serving of healthy fat.
-
Nut butter alternatives: Cashew butter adds creamy richness, while peanut butter gives a classic pairing with apple.
-
Seasonal twist: Use pears instead of apples in winter, or fresh peaches in summer with the same spice mix for a peach pie flavor!
-
Habit tip: Prep apple slices and banana in the freezer ahead of time so this smoothie comes together in under 5 minutes. Frozen fruits also ensure a thick smoothie consistency.
Dietitian Notes
We love this smoothie for breakfast because the combination of apple, oats, and Greek yogurt provides a balanced source of fiber, protein, and prebiotics and probiotics to support not only your gut health but also satiety, meaning you’ll stay full for longer! Using full fat Greek yogurt (although higher in calories) can even enhance satiety because it digests more slowly.
Additionally, the banana contributes potassium for electrolyte balance, while the almond butter offers another source of healthy fats for sustained energy. Adding Daily Elements microgreens amplifies the phytonutrient profile, making this smoothie a nutrient-dense way to enjoy the comforting flavor of apple pie while keeping your body totally nourished!
